Why it’s interesting
Crystal Caper is a lightweight platform adventure that runs directly in a browser. The player moves and jumps through crystal caves and ruins, collects objects, and searches for an exit, while an AI cat companion reacts to progress and offers guidance. Its distinctive idea is not simply generating an image. It places a speaking helper inside a conventional level, so hints feel like part of the world. We opened the public build and confirmed the title, first-level artwork, and visible movement and jumping instructions.
How to try it
Open the original page to begin at Level 1 without registering. Use the arrow keys to move and Space to jump. Learn the platform spacing and crystal positions first, then watch the cat companion's text as you advance. The project also exposes leaderboard-related features, but submitting a score would create a public write, so we did not send one. A desktop keyboard is the verified route; this review does not assume that every mobile browser offers complete touch controls.
Requirements and sources
The game is free, needs no account, and requires no installation, although a desktop browser and keyboard are recommended. Creator Alex Coulombe publishes the source through the ibrews GitHub account. The repository was created on June 4, 2026, which provides the verifiable public timestamp used here. The cover is the official Level 1 screenshot in the repository's documentation, with an original size of 2622 by 1206. We checked the first-level entry and instructions, not every stage, and did not write to the leaderboard.
