Why it’s interesting
Homecoming, 17:00 turns a house waiting to be sold into a browsable mystery archive. Six months after your mother died at the foot of its stairs, you return before an estate agent arrives at five. Eight rooms hold fourteen documents that slowly contradict and complete one another. The game avoids conventional locks and riddles: information is hidden only behind doors you have not opened and pages you have not read. One of four endings requires every document, so the interaction is reconstructing a family history and deciding what the house means when you leave.
How to try it
Open the creator page, choose Run game, and select Open the door when the embedded title appears. We verified that sequence in a signed-out browser and reached the working opening screen. There is no account, download, or payment. The English mystery takes roughly 20–30 minutes; move room by room and read at your own pace because there is no timed puzzle. Progress is stored in the current browser and the page says it can continue offline.
Requirements and sources
Ai-Q Labs released the work on September 11, 2026 and identifies itself as a one-person studio in Japan. Claude through Claude Code assisted writing, HTML, and JavaScript, while the creator designed and edited the structure, mystery, documents, and endings. The page explicitly states that no third-party images, fonts, audio, or libraries are used. The story discusses bereavement without real-person imagery or graphic harm. The official 630 by 500 cover is used only for identification.
